Andrzej Duda is waging a rearguard action to obstruct Donald Tusk’s reforms

On January 9th two men were driven through the back entrance of the presidential palace in Warsaw. Officially, Mariusz Kaminski, a former interior minister, and Maciej Wasik, one of his deputies, were there to attend the investiture of new advisers to the president, Andrzej Duda. But the actual reason was murkier. Both men were fugitives, and Duda was helping them hide from the police.
